Buggin' Out

The New Way to Offer Mealworms

Insect-eating birds, like bluebirds, woodpeckers, chickadees, orioles, wrens, and robins, love mealworms. However, many bird feeding enthusiasts do not love handling live mealworms.

That's why we now offer Dried Mealworms! They pack all the energy and protein of live mealworms, but dried mealworms are easier to offer and store for later.

*When feeding mealworms during nesting season (April - August) we recommend using live mealworms or suet. Dried mealworms do not provide the moisture content of live insects for baby birds and they are unable to visit water sources like the adult birds.*

As always, Daily Savings Club members save 15% on all bird food (including mealworms!)
